Staff

Our staff are all highly trained in their own professional disciplines, are certified in addiction medicine, addiction counseling, social work and marriage and family counseling. At times we also have junior staff interning with us from the medical school or other professional schools, and those who are in the process of obtaining their certification in addiction counseling.

Medical Director: Gerald McKenna, M.D., is a Harvard trained psychiatrist who is certified by the American Board of psychiatry and Neurology and Certified by Examination by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He has held teaching positions at Harvard Medical School, UCLA School of Medicine, and currently is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Hawaii, John A Burns School of Medicine.
Program Director: Michael Foley, MSW, Psy. D. , D. Min., CSAC, SAP has Doctoral Degrees in ministry and psychology, a Master's Degree in Social Work and is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and Substance Abuse Professional.  He has operated residential treatment programs in several United States cities and in England.  He has particular expertise in group and family therapy.

 

Therapist/Counselor: Wendy Beckett, MFCC, has completed her Masters Degree in counseling, completed her internship at Ke Ala Pono and is currently certification eligible for chemical dependency counseling.
